Executive Director

Darryl Glover

Board President

Darryl Glover is an Emmy Award-winning producer, community storyteller, and founder of Dancing in the Rain Media, a Seattle-based media and production company focused on impactful storytelling and community engagement. What started as a way to distract himself from the realities of kidney disease and dialysis treatment became a powerful platform for advocacy, healing, and community impact. Since navigating kidney disease and dialysis since 2013, Darryl has used visual storytelling to uplift voices, strengthen communities, and create meaningful conversations through media.

His work has included producing community-centered content, educational initiatives, live broadcasts, and nonprofit storytelling projects throughout the Pacific Northwest. He serves on the board of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) Northwest Chapter, serves on the board of BUILD 206, and is also a co-producer for the Northwest Regional Emmy Awards. Beyond media production, he is deeply committed to mentorship, youth development, and helping underserved communities find their voice through storytelling and creative expression.

For four years, Darryl served as a Patient Advocate for Coimagine, a nationwide healthcare initiative for those living with Chronic Kidney Disease, where he represented and supported patients throughout the Pacific Northwest region. Having personally navigated long-term dialysis treatment, a failed kidney transplant in 2017, and leukemia since 2022, he brings both lived experience and an advocacy-driven perspective to the Anderson & Rice Kidney Autoimmune Wellness Collective. Through both storytelling and direct community engagement, Darryl openly shares the resilience of his personal journey to encourage, uplift, and inspire others facing health challenges of their own. He is passionate about building spaces that provide support, education, dignity, hope, and healing resources for patients and families facing kidney and autoimmune challenges. Darryl believes that every person has a story worth telling and that community-centered care, compassion, and perseverance can transform lives.
